Hanbando Offshore Wind Opens New Songdo Office
July 7, 2025
• Hanbando Offshore Wind has relocated its office to Songdo International City to strengthen local collaboration and support next-generation energy development in the region.
Songdo International City, home to approximately 220,000 residents, serves as a leading business and academic hub in Incheon. Anchored by global players like Samsung Biologics and Celltrion, it has emerged as a key center for biotechnology and manufacturing. Institutions such as Incheon National University further enhance the region’s strong talent pipeline.
Situated along the Yellow Sea, Songdo benefits from its proximity to Incheon Port—one of Northeast Asia’s largest commercial ports with direct access to global shipping routes. Its interconnection to the Seoul Metropolitan Area, a major electricity load center in Asia, further reinforces Songdo’s position as a key hub for next-generation energy infrastructure, amid rising demand driven by industrial growth.
To strengthen collaboration with local administrations, stakeholders, and communities, Hanbando Offshore Wind has recently relocated and expanded its office in Songdo. By positioning our core team closer to the heart of the region, we aim to enhance communication on the ground and build a stronger foundation for project development.
We look forward to welcoming our partners and stakeholders to our new office, and to continuing our journey toward a sustainable hashtag#EnergyTransition together.
