Hanbando Offshore Windis carrying out a range of social contribution initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable growth together with local communities.

In April this year, Hanbando Offshore Wind donated KRW 10 million through the Community Chest of Incheon to support vulnerable households in the Deokjeok and Jawol areas. In July, the company also provided ecological monitoring equipment to the Korea Federation for Environmental Movements (Incheon KFEM) to support the “Citizen-led Incheon Tidal Flat Ecological Survey,” contributing to the study of endangered migratory birds and marine mammals, as well as enhancing citizen-participatory ecological education.

Most recently, on August 21, Hanbando Offshore Wind delivered 500 first-aid kits to residents of Deokjeok Island through the Deokjeok Development Council. Each kit contains basic emergency supplies for household use, expected to provide residents with readily available resources in times of need.

Hanbando Offshore Wind hopes that this contribution will go beyond support to serve as a meaningful initiative that reflects the community’s actual needs. The company remains committed to supporting local safety, welfare, and environmental conservation, and will continue to carry out diverse social contribution activities in close partnership with the community.

Alex Choi, Project Director of Hanbando Offshore Wind, stated, “We hope that this gesture from Hanbando Offshore Wind will make a tangible difference in the safety and everyday lives of residents. We will continue to prioritize trust and coexistence with the community, always standing alongside them where support is most needed.”

Min-young Lee, Chair of the Deokjeok Development Council, stated, “This donation from Hanbando Offshore Wind has provided tangible benefits to the lives of Deokjeok residents, and we are truly grateful. We look forward to continuing this partnership, which we believe will bring positive change to both the quality of life of our residents and the sustainable development of the region.” Meanwhile, Hanbando Offshore Wind is currently developing a 1,125MW bottom-fixed offshore wind approximately 120 kilometers off the coast of Incheon, under the leadership of its sponsor Ocean Winds (OW).
