Hanbando Offshore Wind Conducts Beach Clean-Up at Seonnyeobawi Beach in Incheon

Hanbando Offshore Wind, a bottom-fixed offshore wind project being 100% developed by Ocean Winds (OW), carried out a beach clean-up activity on November 20 at Seonnyeobawi Beach in Jung-gu, Incheon, to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the marine environment and ensuring sustainable ecological conservation. As part of the company’s year-end CSR initiative, the event was organized toto foster a cleaner marine environment in collaboration with the local community and promote greater understanding of the need to reduce marine debris.

Approximately 20 employees from both Hanbando Offshore Wind and Ocean Winds in Korea participated in the activity, collecting various types of marine waste— including plastic debris, paper, cardboard, glass, packaging materials, cigarette butts, masks, and even large, polluting objects that can harm seas and coastlines. . —across Seonnyeobawi Beach and its surrounding coastal areas. Participants reflected on the importance of responding to climate change and preserving marine ecosystems, while sharing the significance of environmental protection activities carried out jointly by local communities and corporate citizens.

All collected waste was transported to a designated collection point and processed in accordance with the procedures of the local county office. Recyclable materials were sorted and managed separately under the relevant recycling system.

Hanbando Offshore Wind is an offshore wind development project led by Ocean Winds (OW), a global offshore wind leader jointly owned by EDP Renewables (EDPR) and ENGIE. The company is developing a 1,125 MW bottom-fixed offshore wind project within the Incheon Exclusive Economic Zone.
