Hanbando Offshore Wind, a project being developed by Ocean Winds (OW), a global offshore wind developer and operator, has launched its official website to strengthen external communication.
According to Ocean Winds on the 22nd, the newly launched website was created to deliver key information about the Hanbando Offshore Wind project in a more accessible and transparent manner, while expanding communication with local communities and stakeholders. The site is structured in an intuitive format to improve understanding of the overall offshore wind business, featuring sections such as Project Overview, Expected Benefits and Regional Information, ESG Management, News & Updates, Partnerships & Careers, and Contact.
In particular, the Project Overview section provides detailed information on the vision, development background, and expected benefits of the 1,125MW fixed-bottom offshore wind project currently being developed in the Incheon Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Through this, the website clearly presents the role of Hanbando Offshore Wind in addressing national priorities such as expanding renewable energy and advancing the energy transition.
Sungwoo Choi, Head of Project Development at Hanbando Offshore Wind, stated, “The official website serves as an important channel to share project-related information more transparently and to continuously engage with local residents and various stakeholders. We will continue to provide accurate and timely information to enhance understanding of offshore wind and build trust.”
Meanwhile, Hanbando Offshore Wind is a large-scale offshore wind farm project with a planned capacity of 1,125MW, being developed by Ocean Winds in the Incheon EEZ. Ocean Winds is a joint venture established by global energy companies EDP Renewables (EDPR) and ENGIE, specializing in offshore wind power generation, and is currently developing 19 offshore wind projects across eight countries worldwide, including Korea.
